    • PHILOSOPHY
    To create change, you need fiction.
    Human evolution is narrative. We eclipsed biological evolution the moment we started telling stories to align ourselves and create culture. It is the basis behind which we live, dream, and operate as a species. And it is the magical source behind all the experiences we create, from practical to surreal, plain to edge.

    I take a narrative approach to my work by seeking the underlying story and characters. Understanding this reveals the abstract system we're operating in and illustrates how we can create, influence, and evolve experience. This leads to all the adjectives we care about: profound, clear, useful, moving, informative, connecting, relational, insightful, exciting, fun, social, avant-garde, and memorable. To create for people, you must start with the story.

    I'm a designer and storyteller.
    I'm a surrealist, translating imagination into both the fantasy and pragmatism of our world. I specialize in creating human experiences through synthesis of product & experience design, creative writing, program management, and engineering.

    Storytelling has been a joy, passion, and craft for me for as long as I can remember. It's my lens for life, and I believe it's the fundamental language that connects people together.

    I enjoy matters of lifestyle, consciousness, narrative art, music, quality, compassion, improvisation, self-expression, play, connection, LGBTQ space, presence, awareness, and helping people discover what matters to them. Dieter Rams' principles provide guidance; Kurt Vonnegut's sensibilities provide execution. I'm of the school of prismatic thought: we craft the complete picture from our collective experience—brilliance is achieved by thinking together.
